License questions

Hi, I'm trying to help a friend translate this license http://www.mozilla.org/MPL/MPL-1.1.html as he isn't a native English speaker. However I'm not a developer and am not familiar with all of the terms contained in the license so I have a few questions to check and see if I understand.

1. In exhibit B there are two statements which are a bit confusing.

o This License does not grant any rights to use the trademarks "DotShoppingCart" and the "DotShoppingCart" logos even if such marks are included in the Original Code or Modifications.
o However, in addition to the other notice obligations, (1) all copies of the Original Code in Executable and Source Code form must, as a form of attribution of the original author, include on each user interface screen (i) the original DotShoppingCart logo, and once for each user session (ii) the copyright notice as it appears in the Original Code; and (2) all derivative works and copies of derivative works of the Covered Code in Executable and Source Code form must include on each user interface screen (i) the "DotShoppingCart Powered" logo,, and once for each user session (ii) the copyright notice from the version of the Covered Code from which the copy or the derivative work was made. In addition, the original DotShoppingCart logo or the "DotShoppingCart Powered" logo, as appropriate, must be visible to all users, must appear in each user interface screen, and must be in the same position as and at least as large as the DotShoppingCart logo is within the Original Code. When users click on the DotShoppingCart logo or the “DotShoppingCart Powered” logo it must direct them to http://www.dotshoppingcart.com. This obligation shall also apply to any copies or derivative works which are distributed under the alternative terms of Section 3.6 and this obligation must be included in any such license.

If the source codes/modifications are used in part with a developers original work to creat a larger work, does the dotshoppingcart logo have to be on the page? Or does the larger work just need to make sure that it includes a copy of the license as well as Exhibit A?

For the scenario stated above, with a larger work created from a developers original source codes and the source codes/modifications from dotshoppingcart, can the software be resold to end users or just support offered as stated here in the required notices: You may choose to offer, and to charge a fee for, warranty, support, indemnity or liability obligations to one or more recipients of Covered Code.

I really appreciate any help with this! Again, I apologize but I'm not familiar with these licenses or terms and I really don't want to tell anyone the wrong thing!

Thanks!

Re: License questions

The larger works are explained in the term 3.7.

3.7. Larger Works.
You may create a Larger Work by combining Covered Code with other code not governed by the terms of this License and distribute the Larger Work as a single product. In such a case, You must make sure the requirements of this License are fulfilled for the Covered Code.

Basically you need to following this license for the Covered Code (see the definition in the license). You need to include a copy of the license and both Exhibit A and B. The DotShoppingCart powered by logo must be shown on all the web pages that are generated from the Covered Code.

You can sell the large work for a fee or w/o fee only if you follow this license for the Covered Code.
