The number of products in paren's is different than the number of products in the category. In otherwords, I have a category that shows (2) but when I click the category, 8 items show up as expected. Also, in the admin section, when I look at Catalog->Categories the correct number (8) shows up. How do I get the category listing to refresh the count?
