Shipping Status Email
Hi Lukezy
When i chnage the status of an order to shipped it doesn't send an email to the customer. Is this the case as I noticed in the email templates that there is a order complete template?

You could manually mark the order to the status "Sending Order Complete Email". The formal way is to use the "Confirm shipment" button. Please check the

We have no confirm shipment button, our first button is 'print invoice'
Are we missing a config setting?

The buttons in the "Actions" section are changed dynamically depending on the current order status. When the current order status is "Awaiting Shipment" you will see the "Confirm Shipment" button.

Everything is working fine but i have one last query. When I change the status to ' Awaiting shipment' and the page reloads the next status is now set to '
Awaiting Gift Certificate Code Generation ' even though we are not using this option.
Do i need to disbale this somehwere or is this the natural work flow after settingsetting the status to 'Awaiting shipment'?

No, you don't need to disable it. If the order doesn't have GC(Gift Certificate) it will just pass through to the next stage.
