Luke,
 
I am trying to put up a PDF File that someone could download as a product.
 
when add the file under product edit it says it is not a supported file format.
 
please advise.

Ok, pdf file extension has been added to the allowed list. Please try it again.

is there a way to upload a pdf file and when they click a link it is displayed on the page?

I think you can upload pdf file as just a regular file (Admin > Content > Files) and then add a hyper link to the pdf file.

Can you add .xml file extension to the files upload?
 
or is do i have any FTP access to the server or just through the software?  I am trying to upload a sitemap.xml file

.xml is added. No, you don't have any direct server access on our ondemand service since all of our clients are sharing the same set of software.

Yes, zip is supported. I think the size limit is currently at 60MB.

i have a rather large file like around 400MB in .zip format is the a way to get that smaller or that i can upload that large of file or is that too big?

We can certainly increase the size limit. But can I know what file it is and why it is so large?

We sell powerpoints for training classes some up to 30 hr classes the largest file is 1.2GBs the file contains the powerpoint and videos from the powerpoint. is it possible to have the 2 files available for download? to split up the size?
