Multi-Store
Hi,
Where can I find more information about the multi-store feature you have listed in your roadmap?  I interested to see if it fits my needs.  Also, what is the expected timeline for v4.1?

Thanks,
Adam

Re: Multi-Store
Multi-store feature basically allows you to create and manage the sub stores in one site. You can assign sub store managers to manage their own sub stores. Sub stores are standalone. They can only upload their own products and see their own orders. The site administrator can choose to sell same products in all the sub stores. We are currently collecting the requirements for the multi-store feature. If you have a special need, please let me know.

We don't know the timeline for v4.1 since we haven't decided the new feature set yet. It will be probably Q2 2010.

Re: Multi-Store
Very interested in multi store with following needs:

(1)  Sub stores run independently -- managed independently, but with super administrator for setup, oversight, etc.  (each with own payment gateway).

(2)  Sub stores may map domain to sustain brand.

(3)  Sub stores may be searched like a mall.

Can you provide more details regarding the features you do intend?

Thanks.

Re: Multi-Store
The planned multi-store feature is something like indivdual stores in Amazon or Buy.com. Sub store run independently such as define shipping, tax, upload products and manage orders. But the checkout process is the centralized one. You can map domain to sub store. You can search products cross different sub stores.
